Invoicing, stock and accounting for Algerian merchants, in an app that keeps working when the connection doesn't.
The challenge
Many shops and small businesses still manage sales and stock on paper or in spreadsheets. Existing software is often expensive, complex, or useless when the internet connection drops — which happens.
Merchants needed a tool that issues proper invoices with the legal identifiers required in Algeria, tracks stock across warehouses, and works on the phone, tablet or computer they already have.
What we built
Faoutara is a Flutter application for mobile, desktop and web, backed by a Python API and PostgreSQL. Every device keeps a local copy of the data and synchronizes changes in the background, so a sale is never blocked by the network.
It covers the daily cycle of a business: products and price lists, quotes and orders, invoices and receipts, deliveries, payments, stock movements across warehouses and the matching accounting entries. Several companies and users can share one account, each with their own roles.
